Wilson shined in Mercyhurst’s opening weekend of NEC play. Leading the Lakers to a 1-1 record, the two-time NEC Rookie of the Week averaged 18 points, 3.5 assists, 3.0 rebounds and 3.0 steals per game. In Mercyhurst’s 89-72 win at Le Moyne, Wilson netted 19 points off nine field goals while dishing five assists and nabbing four steals as Mercyhurst set a program record for points in a game against a Division I opponent. The Lakers’ 89 points against the Dolphins were the most by an NEC team in a game since in nearly four years. Wilson added a 17-point outing against the defending NEC champion Knights while also dropping two dimes and recording a pair of steals.
