Reynolds picked up significant minutes for the Blue Devils in their lone matchup of the week against in-state foe Fairfield on Thursday. Subbing in with 13:43 left to play in the second half, he did not leave the court for the remainder of the game. The Brooklyn product scored 10 points — a career-best effort against a Division I squad — and nabbed a season-best five rebounds behind a 50.0 percent clip from the field (4-of-8). In addition, Reynolds blocked his second career shot in that stretch. With the 6-foot-4 guard on the floor, Central Connecticut brought a 29-point deficit down to 14 at game’s end. This is Reynolds’ second NEC Rookie of the Week nod, as he previously took home the honor on Dec. 1 after he netted 13 points in a win over Johnson & Wales.
