McDonald was nothing but net on Thursday night during FDU’s 69-61 victory over Lafayette, draining seven three-pointers en route to a career-high 23 points. Nine of her points came in the opening 10 minutes of the contest. McDonald started the second half strong with an 11-point third quarter, boosting FDU to a four-point lead heading into the final frame. She added seven rebounds and a steal in the win. Her seven buckets from beyond the arc was an NEC single-game high this season. The triumph over the Leopards marked FDU’s fourth straight win and its 22nd consecutive victory on its home court. The Knights are out to a league-best 6-3 start this season. This marked McDonald’s first career NEC Player of the Week honor and she is the third Knight to earn the award in 2025-26, joining Ava Renninger and Madlena Gerke.
