Last Week’s Stats: 4.67 digs/set
Musignac made her presence felt on the defensive side of the ball once again. Behind her solid play, the now five-time NEC/Molten Defensive Player of the Week guided LIU to the NEC regular season crown for the first time since 2018 with a pair of commanding 3-0 sweeps of Stonehill last week. A native of San Juan, Puerto Rico, Musignac anchored an LIU back line by delivering league-best numbers in digs (28) and digs per set (4.67). The libero notched double digits in each of those victories — including 18 in Friday’s series opener — to extend her streak to 11-straight matches with twin figures. She concluded the regular season as the NEC’s statistical leader in digs (377) and digs per set (4.01). Her five weekly NEC/Molten Defensive Player of the Week awards are the most of any player on the circuit.
