Fresh off a NEC Rookie of the Year campaign, Renninger has hit her stride early in her sophomore season. The Preseason All-NEC selection averaged 20.0 points, 6.0 assists and 4.3 rebounds per game while shooting 57.0 percent from the field in a 2-1 week for the Knights. In a nail-biting 65-63 victory at Manhattan last Wednesday, Renninger did it all by scoring 18, dropping eight dimes and hauling in six rebounds while playing all 40 minutes of the contest. Her two free throws with 1.7 seconds remaining helped seal the win. The Yardley, PA native also netted 20 points in a hard-fought 59-49 setback to in-state Big Ten rival Rutgers on Sunday. She scored 11 straight points to open the fourth quarter and her three-pointer in that stretch tied the game with four minutes to play. She finished with four three-pointers and shot 7-13 from the field. Renninger added another 20-point outing with 22 in a home win over Bloomfield College to open the week last Monday. She dished another seven assists in the triumph. The 2024-25 NEC Rookie of the Year nailed 10 shots from beyond the arc last week, shooting at a 48.0 percent clip. Her 17.0 ppg average this season is third in the conference, while her 5.0 apg rank first. For Renninger, this was her third career NEC Player of the Week honor and first of her sophomore season.
