Elmore scored the eventual game-winning goal for SFU in a critical 1-0 victory over FDU. The freshman midfielder scored on a counterattack after Thero Mitchell III delivered a perfectly placed cross to Elmore in the middle of the box where he found the back of the net, which proved to be the difference-maker in the win. It marked his first career tally. Elmore became the second SFU player to take home NEC Rookie of the Week honors joining Mitchell, who won the award on October 6.
