Tocher logged 180 minutes in goal last week, backstopping Delaware State to a pair of wins. The Eugene, OR product posted a shutout in Thursday’s 1-0 victory over Chicago State, then stood tall in Sunday’s 2-1 road win at New Haven. She allowed just one goal across the two matches and savednine of the 10 shots she faced. Tocher now has two clean sheets on the season and has recorded five or more saves in a match on three occasions. She is the second Hornets keeper to win the NEC Defensive Player of the Week award this season, following Johoanna Hornyak’s selection on August 18.
