Saint Francis U continued its undefeated start to league play behind Mitchell’s two goals in a pair of home wins last week. During Thursday’s matinee against in-state rival Mercyhurst, Jonah Wolf placed a cross through the penalty area where Mitchell connected on a diving header for the game's long goal in 1-0 triumph. Mitchell found the back of the net once again in SFU’s thrilling 4-3 triumph over defending NEC champion LIU. The Bothell, WA product played a through ball from Nathan Katari in the middle of the box before beating the LIU keeper to the bottom left corner. Mitchell is tied for third in the NEC golden boot race with three goals on the year. The Red Flash It marks the sixth straight season a SFU player has claimed NEC Rookie of the Week laurels.
