Nott’s sizzling hitting led FDU to a three-match sweep this past weekend. In the process, she also ended Saint Francis outside hitter Korrin Burns’ three-week run as NEC/Molten Player of the Week. The veteran middle blocker was virtually unstoppable, delivering 31 kills and just three miscues in 51 total attacks for a.547 hitting percentage that ranked first in the NEC and was the 10th-best clip among all NCAA Division I attackers last week. A native of Rockwall, TX, Nott combined for 31 kills and nine blocks at the FDU/Iona Invitational, which featured a 3-2 win over Iona (Sept. 19) as well as straight-set victories over Manhattan (Sept. 19) and Columbia (Sept. 20). She was sensational in the five-set thriller against the Gaels, recording season-best numbers in kills (15) and rejections (6). Hitting .636 in the Knights’ opening match of the weekend, she continued her torrid attack against Manhattan, logging nine kills and one error in 13 attempts for a .615 hitting percentage. Nott’s stellar numbers also earned her Tournament MVP honors.
