Last Week’s Stats: 3.63 digs/set, 0.88 assists/set, 0.63 service aces/set
Musignac’s stellar defensive play propelled LIU to a pair of 3-1 wins this past weekend at the FDU/Iona Invitational. A sophomore libero, she tallied 29 digs in four-set wins against both Columbia on Friday (Sept. 19) and Iona on Saturday (Sept. 20). Musignac was a driving force in the opening match of the weekend. Accounting for 19 of her team’s 69 digs — a personal-best for a four-set match — the Puerto Rico native delivered a match- and career-high five aces to help the Sharks cruise past the Lions for their first win of 2025. She went on to post double figures in digs for the seventh time this season on Saturday after she registered 10. Musignac, who is the first Shark to garner a weekly award from the NEC this season, has 3.50 digs per set to rank second in the league behind FDU’s Kyndal Ganoe, who enters the week with a slight edge with 3.53 digs per set.
