Straily was nearly perfect on the mound for the Eagles in Sunday’s 2-0 NEC win against Norfolk State. The sophomore righty threw a complete game shutout while limiting the Spartans to two hits through nine innings. Straily struck out a career-high six batters and didn’t allow a single walk. The Henderson, NV native limited Norfolk State to a .071 batting average. Straily retired the final 20 batters and didn’t allow a runner in scoring position. It marked his third win of the year. He ranks third in the NEC with a .202 opposing BA. Straily is the second Eagle to win NEC Pitcher of the Week accolades in 2025, joining Reagan Rivera, who won the award on February 25.
