Taking home his second NEC Rookie of the Week award, Sutera stepped up big time during Wagner's weekend road sweep of Norfolk State. The rookie infielder went 4-for-6 (.667) while scoring twice and driving in six more. Coming off the bench in Saturday's 12-8 win, Sutera went 2-for-2 to boost Wagner to a nine-run swing in the eighth and ninth innings to secure the win. In Sunday's finale, Sutera hit a clutch bases-loaded double that scored three runs to give the Seahawks' an 8-6 advantage and the lead for good in the top of the fifth inning. The Staten Island, NY native would finish the weekend with a .750 on-base percentage, .833 slugging percentage and 1.583 OPS. Wagner sits atop of the NEC standings with a 3-0 record. He is the first Seahawk to take home multiple NEC Rookie of the Week accolades in the same season since Ryan Bilka in 2023.
