Easton became the first-ever Laker to earn NEC Player of the Week distinction. The junior attacker had a big offensive outing in Mercyhurst’s hard-fought one-goal defeat at Presbyterian on Tuesday. Knotting up the game at 3-3 before she pulled the Lakers within one before halftime on her second score, Easton struck two more times in in the final 7:27 to fuel her team’s game-ending 5-1 run. Her final score — which came with 2:01 remaining in the fourth — pulled the Lakers within one at 20-19, the eventual final score. The offense has been rolling this season for Easton, who hails from Honeoye Falls, NY. With hat tricks in each of her four outings, including three-straight four-goal performances, she leads the NEC in goals per game (3.75) and points per game (5.00), while ranking second in assists per game (1.25).
