At the plate or on the mound, Breton did it all for the Sharks last weekend. In Friday’s matchup against Lehigh, the freshman tossed two scoreless innings, allowing two hits and a walk. On Saturday afternoon, Breton went 4-for-5 at the plate while scoring twice. The first-year utility player added a double in the 4-3 win, posting a 1.800 OPS in the contest. Breton became the first Shark to be named NEC Rookie of the Week since Jack Power was honored three times in 2022. LIU added a 12-8 win over Hofstra last Tuesday for a split on the week.
