Lacey’s offensive explosion helped lead Saint Francis U past Duquesne for the first time in program history. The junior midfielder found the back of the net a career-best seven times to power the Red Flash to the near wire-to-wire, 17-11 triumph over their fellow Keystone State foe. A native of Bethel, CT, Lacey struck twice within the game’s first four minutes to give her team a 2-1 lead and an edge they would not relinquish for the remainder of the contest. In the second quarter, Lacey delivered back-to-back scores at the 13:09 mark and the 6:43 mark to make it a 7-2 advantage with her third and fourth goals of the half. Lacey’s scoring spree continued in the fourth quarter. Striking at the 3:56, 3:30 and 2:43 marks, she needed just 73 seconds to net a natural hat trick. In addition, she added three ground balls, a caused turnover and one draw control in the victory. With her seven-goal effort, Lacey leads the NEC in goals per game (4.00) and is second in points per contest (4.00). This is her first NEC Player of the Week honor.
