Hewitt became the second Saint Francis U player in as many weeks to garner NEC Rookie of the Week honors, following the footsteps of fellow classmate Heather Delbone. A native of Devon, PA, the attacker racked up a career-high five points to power the Red Flash to their first-ever win over Keystone State foe Duquesne on Sunday. Tickling the twine a career-best four times, Hewitt also tacked on her first career assist in the 17-11 triumph. That dime, which came on a score from NEC Player of the Week Brooke Lacey, gave Saint Francis U a 2-1 lead and an advantage it would not relinquish for the remainder of the game. Netting a hat trick in the third quarter with scores at 6:68, 5:05 and the 28-second mark, Hewitt concluded her second-half scoring spree with her last goal of the game just 34 seconds into the final stanza. The attacker enters the week with five goals and an assist to rank fifth on the team with six points.
