Shallcross went unbeaten in singles play and won a doubles match alongside Arya Chabria as the Skyhawks split their two dual matches last week. The freshman won both her solo matches in straight sets against Providence’s Gabriella Plonowski (6-1, 6-0) in No. 4 singles and Sacred Heart’s Kiah James (6-2, 6-3) at the third spot. Shallcross and Chabria defeated the Pioneers’ No. 3 doubles squad of Olivia Zuba and Malena del Olma, 6-4. Stonehill defeated the Friars, 5-2, before falling to SHU, 4-3. Shallcross is the first rookie to claim NEC Player of the Week accolades since SFU’s Diana Zuba did it on March 14, 2024.
