Small was one of the top bowlers in the league last week as all seven NEC squads competed at NEC Meet #2 in Altoona, PA. Rolling 100% of No. 15 Duquesne’s frames, Small knocked a league-best 1,170 pins in traditional play. The fifth year bowler led the conference in filled frame percentage (.883), makeable spare percentage (.912) and single pin spare conversion (1.000). The, now, four-time NEC Bowler of the Week added the second-best overall frame average (19.52) and sum of first ball percentage (.733) along with ranking third with a 19.50 traditional average. Small led the Dukes to six wins over the weekend and helped them clinch the No. 2 seed in the upcoming NEC Women’s Bowling Championship. Duquesne will face off with third-seeded Mercyhurst in the first round of the double-elimination NEC Tournament on March 21.
