Martinez put up one of the top pole vault marks in the league once again last week. The junior cleared 4.65m to win the event at the Fastrack National Invite. That height is second in the league rankings to his previous season-best of 4.75m, which he cleared on January 24 at the Dr. Sander Scorcher. Martinez, who was previously named NEC Rookie of the Week three times during his freshman campaign in 2022-23, earned his first NEC Field Athlete of the Week honor.
