Competing at the Liberty Open, Gulycz launched the shotput 16.13m to place fourth at the Lynchburg, VA-based event. The freshman’s throw ranks second on the NEC performance list behind his previous season-best toss (16.21m), which he set at the Bison Opener on December 6, 2024. This was Gulycz’s first NEC Field Athlete of the Week honor, while he collected his fourth NEC Rookie of the Week accolade.
