Mason impressed at the Spartan Invitational last week, setting a Wagner program record and personal-best with a 7.46m long jump. The Prescott, AZ native placed second at the meet and now owns the top long jump distance in the NEC this season. Mason’s mark is currently tied for 16th in the nation as well. This marked Mason's second straight NEC Men’s Field Athlete of the Week accolade.
