Culver became the first-ever Chicago State baller to repeat as a weekly award winner with her second-straight NEC/Atlantic Tomorrow’s Office Rookie of the Week honor in as many weeks. The rookie guard delivered 16 points, four assists and four rebounds for the Cougars, who came up shy of scoring their second-straight win overtime win after falling in two extra sessions at Stonehill by a 77-75 final. With her team trailing by seven with less than five minutes to go in the third quarter, Culver buried a three-pointer to help fuel a Chicago State 7-0 run that made it a tied game with 2:30 remaining. Pushing the Cougars’ lead to five on a jumper with 25 seconds left in the first overtime, the Queens native gave Chicago State the advantage for a final time in the second extra session on a layup with three minutes to go. Culver, who has scored in double figures 11 times this season, is averaging 14.7 points per game against NEC opponents to rank 10th in the conference in the category.
