Greenwood played a big part in LIU’s 35-28 season-ending win at crosstown rival Wagner on Saturday. The double-threat quarterback scored the first two touchdowns of the game to put LIU up by a 14-0 count. Greenwood’s first score came on a 56-yard touchdown run midway through the first quarter, while the redshirt sophomore’s second touchdown came after he hauled in a season-long 64-yard pass with 3:46 left in the stanza. A native of Baldwin, NY, Greenwood made it three touchdowns when he capped off the scoring in the second half with a five-yard rush into the end zone to make it a 28-14 advantage at the break. On the afternoon, Greenwood completed 8-of-12 passes to finish with 129 yards in the air. He supplemented that stat by carrying the ball 18 times for 133 rushing yards to go along with 64 receiving yards on his big catch. With 913 total rushing yards, Greenwood ranks second among all FCS quarterbacks in the category, while his 76.1 yards on the ground per game are also good for second. He concluded the regular season ranked fourth in the conference in rushing yards. This is his second NEC Offensive Player of the Week award this season.
