Week 13 Stats: 7 tackles (6 solo), 3 interceptions
Jean became the first NEC first-year player to win NEC Rookie of the Week honors in back-to-back weeks this season after he delivered another suffocating defensive performance against then-undefeated Duquesne on Saturday. The redshirt freshman and Rochester, NY native came away with three clutch picks in the winner take all championship game to tie the Blue Devils’ record and lead his team to the 21-14 victory. The three interceptions also tied an NEC single-game record. In addition, Jean added seven tackles — including six solo stops — to anchor a defense that limited the Dukes to their fewest point total against an FCS squad this season. This year, Jean leads the NEC in fumble recoveries (4), while his three interceptions and two forced fumbles are good for second in the circuit.
