Lagida helped Chicago State keep its undefeated record against NEC opponents intact this past weekend. Racking up a league-best 4.50 points per set after compiling 20 kills on .378 hitting, the sophomore outside hitter propelled the Cougars past visiting Stonehill in convincing fashion. Scoring 3-0 triumphs in each of the weekend’s matches, Chicago State moved to 8-0 in conference play and became the only unbeaten team left in the circuit following FDU’s defeat at Saint Francis U on Saturday. Lagida contributed 10 kills to each of her team’s wins. On Friday, she hit .533 after recording just two miscues in 15 attempts, while on Saturday, she finished with 15.0 points after she posted a season-high five aces. The Cougars have had a stranglehold on league opponents so far, dropping just one set since the start of the conference slate. With her third NEC/Molten Player of the Week award, Lagida leads all NEC players this season. Among league leaders, she is third in kills per set (3.24).
