The Red Flash went 2-0 at their host tournament, scoring wins over Penn on Friday and Siena on Saturday. Burns had an outstanding week, leading all NEC players with 5.86 points and 4.86 kills per set while hitting .267 during that stretch. The junior outside hitter and Clarion, PA native’s weekend was highlighted by a near double-double performance consisting of nine digs and her first 20-kill outing of the season in a four-set triumph over Penn. She went on to contribute a match-high 14 kills against Siena, a straight-set triumph. Saint Francis U has now won three-in-a-row to even its record in non-conference play at 3-3. This is Burns’ third career NEC/Molten Player of the Week honor.
