Shroyer put a bow on a star-studded rookie campaign in Hackensack by delivering two more dominant performances inside of the circle. In a pair of starts against NEC foe Wagner, the Knights’ ace did not allow an earned run and as a result, she navigated her team to a pair of 1-0 shutout victories on Friday and Saturday. During that 14.0 inning stretch, Shroyer allowed just four hits and a walk as she held the Seahawks to a stingy .073 batting average. Her week got going on Friday, when she threw an absolute gem with 11 strikeouts, one walk and three hits. On Saturday, Shroyer, who tacked on seven more punchouts to her count, was in lockdown mode, as she held the Seahawks to just one hit and one walk on her watch. The San Dimas, CA product closed out her first collegiate season with 251 strikeouts, which leads all NCAA Division I hurlers. In addition, Shroyer is ranked third in ERA (1.78), fourth in opposing batting average (.208), second in innings pitched (184.2) and second in wins (17). With this week’s honor, Shroyer closes out 2024 with a league-leading five NEC Rookie of the Week awards. She was also tabbed the NEC Pitcher of the Week on Feb. 27 and April 16.
