Wiltshire had a record-breaking shot put performance at the NSU Track & Field Invitational hosted by Norfolk State last week. The freshman threw a personal-best 15.33m to earn first-place at the meet. Her distance sits atop the league standings and is currently tied for 71st among all NCAA Division I throwers. Her throw also set a new FDU program record for the outdoor event that was previously held by her mother, Njeri Curtis. A member of the 1993 NEC Indoor Track & Field Champion FDU squad, Curtis set the shot put record in 1995 and is a member of the FDU Knights Hall of Fame. She was inducted along with her 1993 teammates in 2014.
