Capping off an impressive regular season rookie campaign, Tsoukalas put together a 4-0 combined record in a pair of LIU wins last week. The two-time NEC Rookie of the Week claimed two #5 singles victories, including a shutout (6-0, 6-0) of Binghamton’s Samantha Jaros. Her other singles win came against FDU's Valentina Silva (6-4, 6-2). The victories pushed her singles record to 16-4 in 2023-24. Paired with Clara Tardivel, they earned both of their doubles victories by a score of 6-2 in the third flight against the Bearcats’ Maria Pereira and Britney Korir, and the Knights’ Gauri Bhagia and Anastasia Lim. Tsoukalas and Tarvidel enter the postseason 11-2 in dual match play for the defending NEC champion Sharks, who were seeded second in the NEC Tournament.
