Ulam’s torrid hitting led Saint Francis U to its second NEC sweep this season with a 3-0 record at Stonehill. The junior infielder garners NEC Player of the Week honors for the second straight week to become the first player to this season to earn the distinction in back-to-back weeks. Posting a .500/.545/1.200 slash line with four runs and four RBI, Ulam sent three of her five hits for extra bases with one double and a pair of home runs. Most impressively, in 10 at-bats, she did register a strike out during that stretch. A native of Canonsburg, Pa, Ulam was sensational in the series finale against the Skyhawks on Friday. Going 3-for-3, she provided the lone run of the game on a solo shot in the top of the fourth to keep the Red Flash’s undefeated record in league play intact at 6-0. Ulam enters the week as the league’s leader in RBI (24), runs (24), doubles (12), total bases (56).
