With a postseason berth on the line in Thursday’s regular-season finale, O’Brien rose to the occasion for LIU and delivered one of her most dominant performances to date at Stonehill. The Detroit product poured in a career-high 24 points, including 11 in a pivotal final quarter, to keep the Sharks’ season alive. With the 74-65 victory, LIU secured the No. 6 seed in the upcoming NEC Tournament. O’Brien was feeling it, going 8-13 from the field while knocking down 5-of-8 shots from distance. Tacking on three more points from the free throw line, she added four boards, two assists and a steal to her stat line.
