Coutu was a point-producing machine for Stonehill last week. The sophomore attacker had a hand in more than half of her team’s 27 goals after leading the Skyhawks with 14 points on five goals and nine dimes. Coutu got her week going by charting a career-high seven points on Wednesday in a heartbreaking last-second defeat to Boston University. Netting her first career hat trick in the 16-15 loss, she added four dimes. On Saturday, the Brookline, NH native matched her career-high point total once again after she added two more goals and a personal-best five assists to her count to lead Stonehill to a 22-10 win at Howard. Moving to 2-0 in league play with the double-digit victory in the Nation’s Capital, Stonehill also extended its conference win streak to five games, which dates back to the 2023 season. With the award, the Skyhawks have claimed each of the past two NEC Player of the Week honors as teammate Grace Murphy received the distinction on Feb. 26.
