Baker’s stellar play helped lead Le Moyne to a sweep of Wagner and Saint Francis U in the final two games of the Dolphins’ inaugural season as a Division I program and member of the NEC. With the victories, the Dolphins closed out the regular season with seven straight victories to finish with a 14-2 record in conference play. Le Moyne, which is still in contention to earn a share of the NEC regular season title, also secured the No. 2 seed with the wins. On the week, the Dolphins’ leading scorer and rebounder averaged 16.0 points and 7.5 boards. Baker put a bow on an impressive February by delivering her fifth double-double of the month — and her league-leading 12th of the season — after she dropped 16 points and 10 boards in a 55-46 win at Wagner. The Rochester, NY native went on to extend her double-figure scoring streak to eight games against Saint Francis U after netting 16 in Saturday’s 56-24 triumph. Baker enters the postseason ranked first fifth in the league rebounding (8.6 rpg), fourth in scoring (13.9 ppg), second in blocks per game (0.97), seventh in free throw percentage (.725), eighth in field goal percentage (.395) and eighth in steals per game (1.59). In NEC play, she averaged 15.8 points and 8.9 boards to rank fourth and second in the conference, respectively. This is her third NEC Player of the Week honor of the season.
