Pryor takes home NEC Player of the Week honors for a league-best eighth time. The sophomore was sensational once again, as she registered her 10th 20-point performance of the season to lead Sacred Heart to a commanding 79-55 home victory over Wagner on Saturday. Racking up a game-high 21 points, Pryor once again stuffed the stat sheet by adding eight rebounds, six dimes and three steals in the Pioneers’ lone game of the week. With its seventh-straight triumph, Sacred Heart, which has put up 70-or-more points five times during its win streak, is in sole possession of first place in the NEC with a 10-1 record. Entering the week ranked second in the NEC in scoring behind Central Connecticut sophomore guard Samora Watson, Pryor reclaimed her spot as the league’s top bucket getter with Saturday’s 21-point outing. She is currently averaging 17.9 points per game, while her 19.1 point-per-game average against league opponents is also good for first in the circuit. The Baltimore, MD native also paces the NEC in steals per game (3.32), assists per game (4.60) and assist-to-turnover ratio (2.02), while her 7.0 rebounds per game rank fourth in the conference. In addition, Pryor is fourth in field goal percentage (.452).
