Shaw had a record-breaking weekend on her way to claiming her second NEC Field Athlete of the Week honor of the year. The senior thrower broke the LIU weight throw program record twice last week as she threw a 17.25 mark at the Fasttrack National Invite and then followed it up with a personal-best of 17.76m to beat her own record at the Big Apple Invitational. Her 17.76 mark sits at the top of the NEC rankings. Shaw also threw a season-best shotput distance of 12.78m at the Fasttrack National Invite, which is third in the league.
