Clark assumed the league lead with his fifth NEC Rookie of the Year honor after playing a pivotal role in a pair of Merrimack wins. The Warriors stretched their win streak to six games and, most importantly, remained in a first place tie at 9-2 in conference play. Clark posted 21.0 points, 4.0 assists and 4.0 steals per game, while shooting 47.2 percent from the field. The Philly native was terrific on Thursday, helping spark a double-digit comeback in a rousing 82-79 overtime triumph at LIU. He racked up 27 points - three off his career-high - including seven in the extra session, where he was unstoppable off the dribble. Clark went on to contribute 15 points, five dimes and a career-high tying six steals as the Warriors cruised to a 66-50 win over Le Moyne on Saturday. He leads the NEC and ranks eighth nationally in steals (2.5), and also sits second among NEC freshmen in scoring (12.0) and assists (3.7). Clark’s five weekly rookie honors tied him for 13th on the NEC’s all-time list.
