Dudley made a big impression in her NEC debut to help lead Sacred Heart to commanding wins against a pair of conference opponents last week. The 5-foot-10 forward averaged 7.5 points and 9.5 rebounds per game during that stretch, which featured a 65-51 victory over preseason No. 2 Merrimack on Saturday and an 86-47 road win against Saint Francis U on Monday. In her first-ever NEC game, Dudley had an efficient day, going 4-of-6 from the field for nine points while adding seven rebounds and three steals. Three days later, the Norwich, CT native tallied six points, but was a force to be reckoned with on the other end of the court with nine defensive boards and a pair of rejections. Dudley finished that contest with 12 caroms, which matches her career-best output that was set earlier this year against Puerto Rico-Mayaguez. On the year, Dudley is fifth in scoring for a Pioneers’ squad that boasts the NEC’s top offense at 61.3 points per game. In addition, her 4.9 rebounds per contest are good for third on the team. Dudley, who leads the league in Rookie of the Week honors, has earned the award three times in the past five weeks.
