Goode was a key factor in a big week for Le Moyne that featured a road win at MAC opponent Buffalo on Saturday. The 5-foot-4 sophomore was one of four Dolphins to put up double figures in scoring, as she netted a team- and career-high 17 points on the afternoon. Goode used a 9-of-11 effort from the free throw line, including a key 8-for-8 stretch in crunch time, to hold off a Bulls run and seal the victory. Four of those free throws came within a 22-second stretch to make it a two-possession lead for the Dolphins on two occasions with 1:56 and 1:34 left to play, while her final four makes from the line inside the final 17 seconds prevented a Buffalo comeback b. In addition to netting a career high in scoring, the Rochester, NY native contributed three rebounds, three assists and three steals, including a key takeaway that sealed the game in the final moments of regulation. This is Goode’s first NEC Player of the Week award. She becomes the second Le Moyne player to garner the honor this season, as fellow backcourt member Lytoya Baker earned the distinction following the first week of 2023-24.
