Garcia put up a career-high 19 points for Merrimack in a defeat to Bucknell on Sunday to garner NEC Rookie of the Week honors for the second time this season. Knocking down a pair of three-pointers, the Puerto Rico native shot 50.0 percent in the game (8-of-16) to top her previous career-best effort of 18 points which was set last month against Bryant (Nov. 21). In addition, Garcia stuffed the stat sheet with five rebounds, two steals and a block. The 5-foot-6 guard is averaging 8.4 points and 3.3 boards per game in her debut season for the Warriors.
