Week 12 Stats: 12 rushes, 89 rushing yards, 7.4 ypc, 1 TD rush
Emerging as one of the top rookie running backs in the circuit during NEC play, Robinson put a bow on a stellar debut campaign by delivering another impressive performance when it mattered most. With at least a share of the regular season title already to their names and the league’s AQ to the FCS Playoffs on the line, the Dukes took care of business in the regular-season finale at Merrimack on Saturday and claimed the crown outright with a 26-14 victory. Robinson made big contributions to that win, running for 89 yards and one touchdown on 12 carries. Sparking a third-quarter touchdown drive that put Duquesne back in front for the third time at 20-14 with a 39-yard run, the Maple Heights, OH native took the ball four straight times before he reached the end zone on a 10-yard score to pad the Dukes’ lead to 12 with 6:25 to go in the fourth quarter. Robinson closes out the regular season as the NEC’s top rookie running back and is third overall in rushing touchdowns (7) and eighth in rushing yards per game (57.4). Six of his seven rushing scores came during the seven-game league slate. This is Robinson’s third time winning the NEC Rookie of the Week award.
