Earning her second NEC Player of the Week award in three weeks, Horgan led the league in scoring last week with three goals. She scored twice in CCSU’s 3-0 win at Merrimack on Thursday. In the 85th minute, Horgan broke away from Merrimack’s defense and found a clear path to the goal to give the Blue Devils a 2-0 lead. Just two minutes later, the junior forward sealed the match with her second goal off an assist from Giavanna Inzerillo. Horgan was the first to strike in CCSU’s 2-2 draw against Le Moyne on Sunday. Off another set up from Inzerillo, she found the back of the net in the 10th minute. Horgan is now tied for second in the league for points per game (1.50) and sits at third for points (21), goals (eight) and goals per game (0.57). She is also one of five players in the NEC with three game winning goals this season.
