At the Paul Short Invitational (8K) on Saturday, Whittaker finished in second place among 409 harriers with a time of 24:42.9 just six seconds behind the top finisher from Columbia. The graduate from Salem, CT led the Blue Devils to a first place team finish in the 47-team field with three runners finishing in the top 25 and two in the top ten.
