Maresca posted her second double-digit save outing of the season as she stopped 11 shots in Sacred Heart’s 2-1 win over Quinnipiac on Sunday. The Bobcats found the back of the cage in the early minutes of the game off a rebound from Maresca’s initial save. After the sixth minute, Maresca stood tall in goal, making 10 more stops, including six in the final quarter to hold onto SHU’s 2-1 lead. It marked the first win for the Pios over Quinnipiac since 2008. The junior goalkeeper finished the game with a .917 save percentage. Her 11 saves are tied for the sixth-most in a game by an NEC goalie this season and she currently ranks second in the league with 8.0 saves per game.
