Waldspurger led the NEC in points last week with five as Saint Francis U posted a 2-0 record. In Friday’s 3-0 conference win against Wagner, both of Waldspurger’s goals came off penalty corners. Her first goal was in the 28th minute when Dolores Riege put the ball in the circle for her to score. Waldspurger found the back of the cage again at the 46:07 mark off an insertion by Marie Sattler. Faced with a 1-1 stalemate in Sunday’s game against Georgetown, Waldspurger and Sattler set up Dolores Zavaleta for the goal that gave SFU a 2-1 lead late in the third. The Red Flash went on to defeat the Hoyas, 3-2. Waldspurger was one of two NEC players to score multiple goals in her team’s opening conference game.
