Hickey led all NEC players in scoring last week as Stonehill posted a 1-1 record. In the Skyhawks' 5-0 win at Queens Charlotte on Friday, Hickey scored two goals and added an assist. The senior forward tapped in a shot from Julietta D’Antonio to score Stonehill’s second goal of the game in the sixth minute. After a scoreless second quarter, Hickey jumpstarted the Skyhawks offense by putting the ball in the back of the cage just four minutes into the second half. Early in the fourth, Hickey applied pressure on the Queens defense and forced a turnover to set up Claudia Crowe to put Stonehill ahead 4-0. Facing a 1-0 deficit at Davidson on Sunday, Hickey settled a third quarter penalty corner from Crowe to score the equalizer just under two minutes into the second half. The Wildcats went on to score two fourth quarter goals and claim the 3-1 win. The Greenfield, MA native totaled seven points last week. She currently leads the NEC in goals with six.
