Zovko repeats as NEC Rookie of the Week, having previously earned the honor after opening weekend of the 2023 campaign on Aug. 29. The first-year setter from Bedford, MA averaged 6.33 assists and 2.89 digs per set for the Pioneers, who faced Fairfield and UMBC in the Sacred Heart/Fairfield Invitational over the weekend before they took on Hofstra in mid-week action on Tuesday. During that stretch, Zovko registered a pair of double-doubles against the Stags (25 assists, 10 digs) and the Pride (11 assists, 13 digs). Her 25 dimes against Fairfield marked a career high, while her 13 digs against Hofstra were also a personal-best effort. Zovko currently ranks fifth in the NEC with 6.33 assists per set this season.
