Now a three-time NEC Player of the week, Mongelli produced monstrous numbers to end the regular season on a high note. The senior shortstop led the Pioneers offensively across four games including a three-game NEC series against Merrimack. Mongelli batted .500 (9-for-18), scored ten runs, tripled, tallied a ridiculous seven dingers, posted nine RBIs, walked four times, was hit by a pitch, and stole two bags. In a non-conference game against Quinnipiac on Tuesday, the Marbloro, NY native had a two-homer display then proceeded to smash five roundtrippers against Merrimack. In Friday's doubleheader sweep, Mongelli sent a pair of homers over the fence in each game, and his final home run of the week was his 20th of the season to set the new Sacred Heart single-season program record and tie the NEC single-season record with Mount St. Mary's Josh Vittek (2008). He wrapped up the week with a .609 OBP, 1.778 slugging percentage, and 2.387 OPS.
