Savaglio closed out the 2023 campaign on an impressive note with two lockdown efforts inside the circle for FDU. The graduate student went the distance in each of her starts against Princeton and Wagner and did not allow an earned run during that 14-inning stretch. Fanning 15 batters, including eight in the Knights’ regular-season finale against the Seahawks, Savaglio scattered 10 hits and issued five walks to finish with a .200 opposing batting average on the week. This is Savaglio’s second NEC Pitcher of the Week honor, as she earned the award following the first week of the season.
