Murphy makes it two NEC Field Athlete of the Week awards this season after she turned in a pair of solid performances at the Bison Outdoor Classic. The Cresson, PA product placed sixth in the long jump after she hit the sand in 5.65m on her second attempt. That distance is the second-best mark in the NEC this season behind her league-leading jump of 5.71, which was set earlier this month at the adidas Trojan Classic. Murphy, a senior, also covered considerable ground in the triple jump. Unleashing a jump of 11.99m, she improved on her previous conference-best mark by 0.10m and took fifth place in the process.
