Ranking second in the conference in goals per game (3.31) and third in points per game (4.46), McHenry was a scoring machine for Saint Francis U, which outscored its opponents by a 45-17 margin and clinched a spot in the upcoming NEC Tournament after going 2-0 in conference play last week. A native of Branford, CT, McHenry combined for 19 points in that stretch and tied two single-game program records in the process. In Wednesday’s 22-6 victory against FDU, the graduate student had a hand in nearly half of her team’s scoring with six goals and four assists. Finishing with a season-best 10 points to tie the conference’s top single-game performance this season, she also matched Saint Francis U’s single-game record in the category. Three days later against Central Connecticut, McHenry had another huge offensive outing to lead the Red Flash to a 23-11 triumph. The attacker matched the program’s single-game record after she found the back of the net nine times, which also marks the most goals scored in a game by an NEC player this season. In addition to the scoring surge, McHenry combined for 15 draw controls, six caused turnovers and five ground balls during that stretch. Riding a program-best five-game winning streak, the Red Flash have now won a program record nine games this season. This is McHenry’s third weekly award from the conference, as she was named the Defensive Player of the Week on March 13 and the Player of the Week on Feb. 27.
